Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Product Manager to join our startup team. This role is crucial in shaping our product roadmap, conducting user research, and ensuring we deliver the right features to our customers.
The Product Manager will work closely with the founders—our CTO and CEO/Product Owner—to build and maintain a roadmap that aligns with HopSkip’s mission to streamline event venue sourcing.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong user empathy, capable of blending data-driven insights with a deep understanding of customer needs to deliver features that our users love. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and possess strong project management skills.
Success in this role means bringing a proactive, problem-solving mindset, adaptability to shifting priorities, and a strong sense of ownership over growth and product success metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain the product roadmap in collaboration with founders. Founders will set strategy, high-level goals, and investment levels.
- Feature Prioritization: Work closely with the Product Owner to align on priorities, validate ideas, and review feature recommendations for roadmap inclusion.
- Tools and Processes: Recommend and lead evaluation of best-in-class tools for roadmap management, instrumentation, usage analytics, feedback, etc.
- User Research: Conduct user research to inform product decisions. Participate in existing Customer Advisory Board meetings, analyze support chat threads for feature requests and bug reports.
- Feature Validation: Justify feature development through data-driven analysis, design and implement experiments to validate product hypotheses. Define and track success metrics to measure product performance and user satisfaction.
- Customer Feedback: Establish and maintain continuous feedback loops with users to gather insights, validate product ideas, and ensure user needs and pain points are directly informing product development and prioritization.
- Market Research: Actively identify and capitalize on growth opportunities to enhance product-market fit and revenue potential
- Program Management: Manage program-level timelines and resources effectively, with proactive communication to the Product Owner, CTO and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Cross functional collaboration with Customer Success, Engineering/Design, and Marketing teams
